Prerequisites

a)         Master’s degree or equivalent

b)        To pass the entrance exam organized by LNUTCM

c)        Two recommendation letters offered by experts of associate professor or above level

d)        Good health

About the Degree

After finishing all of the courses, Doctor’s degree in Medicine will be awarded to the qualified students who have completed the subject research

Scholarship and Grant

1.         LNUTCM provides grants to certain international PhD students who are studying in China at their own expense. LNUTCM will offers a grant of RMB 4,000 /Year to its undergraduate students who are intended to continue their master study at LNUTCM as an encouragement.

2.         Liaoning provincial government offers government scholarship to the outstanding PhD students every year, the amount reaches RMB 54,000 /Year. The winners of government scholarship are exempt from tuition fees, book fees, accommodation, and can receive a living allowance of RMB 2,000 / month. Please see the instruction of "The Admission of Government Scholarship Programs for International PhD Students" to check how to apply the government scholarship.

Application Steps

1.       Log on to “http://iec.lnutcm.edu.cn” to order or download the “Application Form for Overseas Students”.

2.       Send in the completed Application Form, the following documents for application and application fee of RMB 820. Application documents to be provided:

a)           Copy of passport

b)          Copy of graduation certificate

c)          Copy of bachelor’s and master’s degree

d)          Copy of academic records

e)           Two recommendation letters

f)           Ten Passport Photos of 2-inches size

3.       Attend the entrance exam. The exam is organized by LNUTCM and composed by three subjects: Specialized Course, Basic Theories of TCM, and Chinese Language. The test fee is RMB 800.

4.       International Admission Office sends the Admission Letter and the Visa Application for Study in China (JW202) to the qualified students.

5.       Apply for X Visa (student visa) at the local Chinese Embassy with the Admission Letter and the Visa Application for Study in China (JW202). Register at IEC at LNUTCM before new academic year starts.
